Editorial Standards, Sources, and Corrections

How Stoic Edge attributes its work, labels examples, handles commercial interests, and updates trading education when facts or rules change.

Stoic Edge publishes trading education, chart-tool documentation, and general market commentary. Stoic Trader is the public byline. The publisher is Stoic Edge, operated by StoicTA, LLC. This page describes the standard applied to our current public articles and guides.

Sources and technical accuracy

System education follows the current Stoic Edge System teaching and rulebook. Articles distinguish the broad 1-2-3 framework from the focused PTB entry lesson, and identify execution decisions the framework leaves to the trader.

For external facts, use original documentation, filings, published research, exchange material, or regulator guidance where available. Link claims that need precise attribution. Record access limitations when the underlying source cannot be fully reviewed.

Product documentation should describe features available in the current product. A historical lesson or screenshot can retain its original context, but should not be presented as a current price, feature guarantee, or account rule.

Examples and performance claims

Label invented charts, hypothetical arithmetic, simulations, and backtests near the example. Identify real chart examples by available instrument, timeframe, and date information. A real chart screenshot is not proof that a trade was executed.

Do not infer a win rate or expected return from selected examples. A performance claim would require a defined method, source data, sample period, costs, treatment of discretionary decisions, and material limitations. We do not publish a verified trading-performance record for Compass.

Losses, ambiguity, and valid no-trade decisions belong in educational examples alongside successful-looking setups. Readers should be able to see where a rule stops giving a clear answer.

Facts, interpretation, and personal advice

Keep reported facts separate from the interpretation of those facts. A candle can show a price event; it does not prove the motives or positions of unidentified participants.

Stoic Edge does not provide individualized investment, tax, legal, or account-risk advice. Commentary and chart examples can be incomplete or wrong. Readers remain responsible for decisions and should consult an appropriately qualified professional where their circumstances require it.

Commercial interests

Stoic Edge sells Compass subscriptions and promotes the paid Stoic Traders community. Product links and community enrollment links on this site serve those commercial interests. Buying a product does not establish its profitability or suitability for a particular reader.

Any third-party sponsorship, referral payment, or affiliate relationship relevant to an article should be disclosed near the recommendation or link. The current prop-evaluation guide includes no firm recommendation or affiliate link.

Updates and corrections

Substantial changes receive a visible updated date. Keep the original publication date when revising an existing article. Do not change dates merely to make unchanged material look recent.

Send a correction request to stoic@stoicedge.com with the page address, the specific statement, and a source or explanation of the error. Avoid sending passwords, payment details, or sensitive account information.

When correcting a material error, update the affected passage and explain the change where it helps readers understand the prior version. Removed pages should return a real missing-page response or redirect to a genuinely relevant replacement.

September 2026 content review

The September 11 review restored useful legacy articles, expanded the 1-2-3 flagship guide, and brought the public System reference into line with both Module 01 and Module 02. It removed unsupported broad failure-rate claims from the rewritten articles and separated the System's 200 SMA from Compass's 200 EMA display.

These changes improve accuracy and navigation. They do not establish a trading track record or guarantee search rankings.
